Practice speaking in the shower! (not singing)

Practice, Practice, Practice!

  • Speak about your day.
  • Practice things you want to say.
  • Repeat things that you heard.

You are your best listener!

In the shower no one can hear you, or laugh if you sound funny, and make mistakes.

Just like riding a bike, playing an instrument and drawing a picture – the more you practice, the better you’ll get!

Record your voice, listen and then record – again and again and again!

  1. Prepare some text in advance.
  2. Read the text out loud, clearly, and record using an MP3, mobile phone or any other recording device.
  3. Say the text out loud, naturally.
  4. Get to know your voice, listen to how you speak, how you pronounce words – and help yourself improve.

This is a great way to practice!

Speak clearly; saying each word to the end.

Speaking is great, but it’s even more important to be understood!

Take your time and make sure to speak clearly, so that people who are listening can understand you.
